Packets are out and the first of the paperwork is being turning in. MY THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE SENT IN YOUR FEES AND PAPERWORK! This helps us a lot to get that out of the way before band camp. If you have not received a packet, please email Mr. Vrieze immediately! Some addresses from the school are wrong and we want to include you!

FIRST ANNUAL BAND WORK DAY

Calling all band students AND parents!

The First Annual Band work day is Saturday, July 25th and we need all of you to be there. In addition to you, we need drills, saws, hammers, measuring tapes........you get the idea. On Band Work Day we will be getting ready for the year and taking care of projects we have been putting on hold for too long. Here is a small list of things we need to take care of:

Preparing the Gator and golf cart for camp.
Finishing up the trim work on the shed.
Organizing items in the shed.
moving shelves
cleaning instruments
putting away music
fixing stands
lining the field

As you can see, there is a little something for everyone and we need a lot of help. Please mark that day on your calender!

The Calendar has been updated to include marching band events and state events for 2009-2010.

Parents, Remember to check the calendar link for upcoming events.

Students are responsible for providing accessories for their instruments such as reeds, swabs, valve oil, etc. You may purchase these items at any reputable music dealership. Currently, a representative from Music and Arts Centers, Phil Carr, makes a weekly visit to the school. If you wish to take advantage of this great service, please follow the directions below.

Directions for ordering musical items to be delivered to the school:

1. Email Mr. Carr at pcarr@musicarts.com before Thursday. Include YOUR NAME, YOUR SCHOOL, and the items you wish to order. As a large music dealership, Music and Arts will carry any accessory you need but if you are unsure, go to their website at www.musicandarts.com

2. Mr. Carr should email you back with the price of the items you ordered.

3. Bring the money in on Friday when he delievers your item(s).

It's that simple and no driving!
